At the speed of light….
Okay, so last week at this time I didn’t even know if I had actually ordered some Wollmeise from Yarnissima - and I wasn’t even sure that they were in the Netherlands. Well, today, in my mailbox appears an envelope from the Netherlands, and the lovely, lovely Fratello kit — Fratello sock pattern and beautiful Wollmeise yarn - plus some cute little extras. Now, that’s customer service!
But, I’m still wondering…how can something go from Holland to Canada in just a week? I’m still waiting for my first Woolgirl Sock Club package (I see on the internet that some lucky people have received theirs) from the US, and that’s almost 2 weeks now.
This photo just doesn’t do this yarn justice - it’s in beautiful, rich brown tones. I am nervous though because the pattern looks quite elaborate, plus it’s a toe up pattern - I’ve never done that before…

The only thing to fear about toe-up socks is that you might not ever want to knit them cuff-down again. Once I mastered Judy’s Magic cast-on (go to Knitty.com and search for it) I was totally hooked on toe-ups.
Happy you! I’ve ordered my first yarnissima kit today (also the fratello!) and I’m wondering, how fast the delivery from the Netherlands to Switzerland is…
I did my first yarnissima pattern (the digitessa) also with the cast-on from knitty.com, I like this one better than the cast-on from yarnissima.
